You can find delicious street food at local fairs, celebrations as well as in markets, main plazas on weekends, beach towns, bus stops, and small restaurants.

You can experience one or many of them, as they are very portable and can be tasted even while walking. There are salty and sweet options.

CEBICHE VOLQUETERO

The ceviche volquetero, or simply volquetero, integrates ingredients from the three great regions of Ecuador. It is one of the best known dishes of Puyo, in the province of Pastaza.

AMAZON TYPICAL DISHES

Amazonian gastronomy offers delicious dishes prepared with ancestral products and practices that are expressed in each preparation. Cassava, freshwater fish,  chontacuros and more ingredients are used to create unique food, in the bowels of the Ecuadorian Amazon jungle.

HORNADO RIOBAMBEÑO

In Riobamba, the sultana of the Andes, the star dish is undoubtedly the "hornado riobambeño", Pork is marinated in chicha, painted with its lard and prepared in a clay oven for hours so that the meat is tender. You can enjoy it accompanied with a fresh juice made with local fruits and ice from the Chimborazo Volcano.

ROSERO CUENCANO & CASCARITAS

The 25th June Market, located in Cuenca is a gastronomic showcase. The smells, flavors and colors mingle in a semi-open atmosphere and awaken the appetite of any person.
The rosero, a typical drink, is sold every day in the market and is served hot.

Another delicacy are the famous cascaritas (pork skin burned with a blowtorch), It is eaten with mote and is one of the most coveted dishes of the region, something that can not miss in our visit.

ESPUMILLA

Espumilla is one of the favorite desserts of Ecuadorians and is considered one of the traditional desserts of our kitchen. This dessert looks like ice cream, but it does not melt. Guayaba and Blackberry are used to give consistency to the meringue, you can add sprinkles, strawberry coulis, waffer cookies and fruits.

EMPANADAS (Turnovers) & MOROCHO (White corn beverage)

Its origin dates back to the habitude of filling loaves with food or vegetables, which shepherds and travelers brought to consume in the field. We will taste the unique giant empanadas known as Empanadas de Viento, filled with soft cheese and sprinkled with sugar

Morocho is a sweet beverage made of white corn and milk.

CANELAZO - Hot Cinnamon Herbal Tea

Canelazo is a traditional Ecuadorian drink from the Highlands. It is prepared by mixing boiling water with cinnamon sticks, sugar, and local spirits. It is ideal for cold nights.

We will taste juices with tropical fruits and plants such as sangorache, an Andean richness of the amaranth family. These 100% organic juices contain vitamins and minerals that will immediately make you feel their effects.
