Cacao and Mangroves
This is a marvelous experience that mixes nature and local traditions.
You will leave in the morning towards the vast plains of the coastal zone, located in to the east side.
You will explore the Churute Mangrove Reserve in canoes, you will travel through this natural area full of life and natural diversity. You can see many species of birds, insects and sometimes howler monkeys.
Then you will drive to a local farm to discover the process of cocoa and chocolate, where local communities produce cocoa beans.
• You will learn about seeds, planting, growing and harvesting. Then you will visit the processing area where the cacao seeds are dried, you can try the cocoa beans and taste the flavor.
• Then learn about the roasting and grinding, you will try an artisanal drink made of the combination of aromatic herbs and chocolate. You will also participate in the making of artisanal chocolate bars.

• Typical regional lunch
• In the afternoon return to Guayaquil
