PERUVIAN FLAVOURS
Day 1: Meet and Greet at Lima's International airport.
Transfer to selected hotel at Miraflores quartier for overnight
Day 2: Lima and traditional market
After breakfast, visit to the local and traditional market at Miraflores or San Isidro districts. This visit will permit you to appreciate iconic products used in the peruvian recipes: vegetables, corn in different varieties, as well as chilis, and exotic fruits. The market is a display of colors, shapes, scents. You will have the opportunity to taste local fruits: cherimoya, aguaymanto, lucuma and others. After this visit lunch in a local restaurant, this will be a gastronomic experience tasting peruvian Pisco and the famous cebiche and other traditional specialities.
Day 3: Morning Flight to Cuzco
In the afternoon visit to the city of Cuzco and its nearby ruins. Be amazed by the ancient buildings ant the colonial constructions built over the incan remains. You will visit The Cathedral, Koricancha (Temple of the Sun) and the nearby ruins: Qenqo (Ceremonial and Ritual center, place where sacrifices were made), Puca Pucara (this complex was probably used by Emperor Pachacutec as a tambo), Tambomachay (also called “The Bath of the Inca”) and Sacsayhuaman Fortress (place where the main Inca Festivals, Inti Raymi and Warachicuy take place). Return to the hotel.
Day 4: Sacred Valley – Local community – Sacred Valley
After an early breakfast, transfer to Lamay, arrival and transfer to a local community. Reception and short briefing about the activities and the roles each one in the group will do, such as: help to cook in the rustic kitchen, participate to the variety of ways to prepare Andes flavors, with natural products like potato, quinoa, corn, Olluco and others. According to the ingredients available you will prepare one of the local dishes: chaufa de quinua, trucha rellena, enrollado de cuy, cuy al palo, saltado de verduras y otros. Typical lunch. Then, visit to Pisac Archeological complex.
Day 5: Macchu Pichu Sanctuary
This day will be the highlight of our trip, the visit to the citadel of Machu Picchu. Very early departure to the Ollanta train station towards the majestic city of Aguas Calientes, this ride will take about 1h30 minutess approximately. Upon arrival to Aguas Calientes town you will board the buses to ascend to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, one of the 7 wonders of the world. You will visit the Intihuatana (the Solar Clock), the Palace of the Incas, the Three Windows, etc. At the end of it we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes and take the train back to the Sacred Valley region
Day 6: SAcred Valley - Cuzco
After breakfast, transfer to Salt Flats of Maras and the Moray terraces, lo learn about the activities involved in the agriculture tradition, Moray terraces shows how incas cultivated and grow different products by building artificial microclimates and how this helped to have diversity in food.
Upon arrival in Cuzco transfer to the hotel.
Rest of the afternoon at leisure.
Day 7: Flight to Lima
At scheduled time transfer to the airport for flight back to Lima
Transfer to selected hotel in Lima.

Day 8: Transfer to the airport for flight back home
