A Journey Through Andean Beauty

Day 1: Drive to the Colombian Border , Las Lajas Cathedral and Pasto

Morning departure to the north of the country to the border. Short visit to Tulcan Cementery to observe the beautiful decorations and designs made on the cypress trees.

After comply the Migration procedures, you will continue to the city of Ipiales and visit the famous Las Lajas Cathedral, famous for its beautiful architecture and for being an important pilgrimage place. This is a marvelous construction built over the border of a canyon. Here you will see a great display of testimonies of gratitude for the blessings and favours received from Our Lady of las Lajas. After the visit you will continue to Pasto city, the landscapes are beautiful along the canyon.

Day 2: Pasto the “Surprise City”

We begin the visit with a tour of the temples located in the historic center of the city, in them we will find republican-type architecture, images from colonial times, wood carving and Quito art paintings, due to the number of temples located in the center of the city, Pasto is also called "The Theological City of Colombia". We will visit the temples of: the Cathedral of Pasto, San Juan, Cristo Rey, La Merced; To get to know the historical and cultural part of the city, we will visit the Nariño square, the carnival museum.

Enjoy a delicious lunch in an organic restaurant that has rescued ancestral recipes.

In the afternoon visit a Pasto varnish workshop, a unique artisan technique in the world declared a cultural heritage of Colombia, you can see how these artisans creates beautiful desings and ornaments.

Our excursion finishes with a Coffee experience learning about coffee cupping from an expert barista and tasting a typical snack of the city. This coffe shop project has permited youngs displace by the conflict to be reinserted in the society.

Day 3: Sibundoy Experience

Your journey begins as you arrive in Sibundoy, a small town in the heart of the Colombian Amazon. Check into your accommodation, which may include cozy guesthouses or eco-friendly lodges that immerse you in the rainforest.

Start your day with a warm welcome from the local indigenous communities. Learn about their customs, languages, and traditional clothing. Try your hand at creating indigenous crafts or join in on a traditional dance. Engage in conversations with community members to gain insights into their way of life.

Explore the sacred sites of the indigenous peoples. Visit places of spiritual significance, such as ceremonial grounds, sacred waterfalls, or meditation spots. Participate in a traditional ritual, guided by community leaders, to gain a deeper understanding of the local spirituality and the connection to nature.

Day 4: return to Pasto

Visit a local market, where indigenous artisans display their handcrafted goods. Purchase intricate textiles, traditional clothing, and vibrant beadwork as souvenirs of your journey. Engage with the artisans to learn about their craft and the significance of these items in their culture.

Learn about traditional indigenous cuisine as you participate in a cooking workshop. Prepare and savor local dishes using fresh ingredients sourced from the region. It's a chance to appreciate the flavors of the Amazon and the culinary heritage of the indigenous communities.

As your adventure in Sibundoy comes to an end, bid farewell to the welcoming indigenous communities and the lush rainforest that surrounded you. Depart with a newfound appreciation for the rich culture and biodiversity of this remote corner of Colombia.

Day 5: Day at leisure

Day at leisure for personal activities or to enjoy a nice relaxation day at Bellatriz Spa.

Day 6: Transfer to the airport for flight to the next destination or return to the border
