Day 1: Arrival in Quito
Transfer to your selected hotel.
Day 2: Visit to the Historic District of Quito.
After a short brieffing on security, You will start to visit the Old quartier of Quito. Its religious and civil monuments build during the colonial period. Magnificent Churches and Convents as well as plazas and Monasteries. We will enjoy tasting the famous ecuadorian chocolate or if you prefer we can organize a local beer tasting.
Day 3: Visit to the Botanic Garden in Quito
Morning excursion to the Botanical Garden, we will traverse the modern quartiers and financial district of the city, we will arrive to La Carolina Park, here it is located the Botanical Garden of Quito. Here you can find in a didactic way the different geographical zones and the diversity of plants that lives in these different ecosystems. One of the most amazing areas is the one where orchids grow.
Day 4: Excursion to the Middle of the World
Morning transfer to the Equatorial Valley. You will have the chance to admire the first monument located in the little Calacali Village. In this village was born one of the most famous singers of "pasillos" Mrs Carlota jaramillo. We will visit her museum. We will continue our journey with the visit of the Middle of the World Monument, or Intiñan Museum.
Day 5: Quilotoa Emerald Lake
Complete day excursion to the south of Quito, along the Volcanoes Avenue up to Quilotoa region. This is an exctinct volcano in whose cladera there is a beautiful emerald lake. It is possible to hike down the borders of the lake. We will continue to a high point to see the marvelous Toachi river canyon, Return to Quito in the afternoon.
Day 6: Transfer to the airport to your next destination
